The year 2009

Now the 2009 as we know it is about to end, I guess it's time to think of what you've done for the past year. Was time well spent? Positive or negative, it just means whether you should either work on what you're striving at or just dump everything aside and bring on a fresh new plate. To life!

Anticipation

Yes! My inspiration which has long been lost or faded away just before I got my hands on a keyboard has returned!

Okay, now I would like to share my thoughts on the phenomenon of "Anticipation". What is anticipation anyway? It is simply the thought of hoping something would materialize before your eyes. Basically its a state of mind.

Now you would wonder, so what? Well, its the thing that makes you wonder, "what the fuck"? Its like this, when you long for something so much, craving for it or perhaps even desperate for it. Here comes the part that makes you go "what the fuck"? That is of course, for the negative aspect of anticipation. Once you had it or experienced what you have longed for, something struck your head. This is not what I signed up for! Its nothing close to the expectation bar that has been set by yourself. Perhaps just grazing the bar or out of reach, well, you're fucked.

So what I'm saying is, life's like that. Personally I'd choose to not think of it and be surprised by how much I'm benefited when it comes. This can be relate to perhaps anything in the world! For me, it could be the anticipation of the new Assassin's Creed II for the pc. For something else, it could be the girl next door you've been dying to be with or it could be anything! Anything and everything.

But of course, we can't rule out the positive sides of anticipation, those are awesome too.

P6 BBQ

Wow, just came back from a Pri 6 bbq at Wei Hao's. Nice! I mean other than the food, the company of the rarely seen yet all so familiar and you're comfortable with, reappear! Awesome time! And i learnt to play Mahjong! For the first time I've played it and I think I've got the general idea, but I reckon I'd lose if I played for money. It'll be worse than losing "Tai-Di" with a hand full of cards! haha.

Had some fresh air outside too.

Oh and the sky there was beautiful! Perhaps there was much lesser lighting over that area so the sky was so beautifully lit with stars. Not a usual sight for me, all i see is satellites. haha!

Hey guys, I'm back and I've kinda made a diary sorta thing with my itouch when i was there. Here it is, hope you enjoy reading it.

Day one,
Woke up on time but wasted time finding my shirt and was forced to
take a cab halfway. That must have been the most regretable 9.60 I've
spent!

T1 was okay, not spectactcular but it has the essential. Booze and
Subway! Their bacon and egg sub Is awesome! What's better is that it's
only 4 bucks! Cheap as compared to the other overpriced food.

Okay airasia is officially the smallest commercial aircraft! There's
only one isle but who cares now that I'm seated.

The ride here wasn't all that bad as I expected though. It didn't take
as long as I would expect but rides here sure are packed with people!
Especially the train ride from their central train station to KLCC.
What's bothering me is that it's really not comfortable watching me
6's every now and then. Not really used to the idea, but i think the
locals here are, looking over my shoulder, I see girls holding onto
their bags for dear life. Now here i am sitting at a "Dunking donuts"
the first I've been to in fact. It's pretty nice but I thought it's
DUNKing donuts in dip. But it's the same familiar donuts we all know
of. But it's really good though! They have the Simpsons donuts! Haha.
Furthermore there are these two fine looking cauasian chicks on my
left. Too ba they're joined by their mum. Haha!

Now I've Checked in to the hotel. Great place just no wi-fi!!! There's
free Internet but unfortunately that requires a laptop which is still
sitting at home. Haha.

Well, dinner was great, food and cousins I've not seen for so long.
Just one flawed part in the evening, me. Throughout the evening, I can
say I was only able to understand 10% of all the conversations had.
Cause they were all in Cantonese! And most the 10% was contributed to
the conversations had with cousin Ben and his soon to wed fiancé
which were in English! Haha. Owells, food was good.

Day Two,
Day was fine, manage to catch "Couple's Retreat" at 12rm, GREAT movie
I must say, entertaining as expected! Though the starbucks here was
surprisingly dissapointing :( their wi-fi was terrible. Even had to
tap into Coffee Bean's which was more stable. I take that back,
USABLE. Haha.

Finally had the chance to savor on one of my favourite food here,
their Hokkien Mee! Nothing like in Singapore.

Day Three,

10am-
Thing about going out with your folks, don't they just expect you to
wake up as early?! Apparently waking up at 8 is already considered
late. Owells, breakfast was good! Cheap as well, a easily 4SGD bowl of
soup is only 4rm! Haha, and it tastes good.

10.30am
Going around in circles isn't fun.

6.20pm
Found One Utama, a megamall, in the end. Huge, perhaps too big, hard
to move around with my injured heel, fucking hindrance.

Just came out of the hotel's business centre to have my itouch
charged, apparently using wi-fi really drains my batt. Oh yeah, while
charging, I found a very intresting feature about the com I was given
for that time frame. After some privacy invading methods I used on
that com, apart from pictures of past guest, I found this very
"special" video! It was titled "Teen amazing with her feet". Haha!
They had porn there! Now I know how the staff kept themselves
entertained. Well, I did them a favor and copied th vid on "my
pictures" and "my videos" haha. So they would have greater ease in
finding that vid. Lol. Or for other travellers.

8.39pm
Eww! Birdshit! damn that was unlucky, but fortuantely it didn't land
on my head but on my forearm. Still, disgusting. Wasted no time in
ridding it off. This was actually the first time I had a birdshit
encounter, I've one word for it, Warm.

9.21pm
Receptionist Kasen is HOT! Haha.

Day Four,

9.03am
Today is the last day here in m'sia, I'm gonna miss the good food and
the hot receptionist, but i think it's for the better. I've loads of
assignments to catch up on and syfc papers too. Airlaw and Human
Performance & Limitations. Now, dim sum!

Darn it! Why do I feel so terrible now? One minute I was all cheerful and after that small incident i was sent on a guilt trip and now I'm kept to wonder. Has my past actions previously thought to be wise decisions, are actually foolish?

On a beach somewhere in Batam..

Hey folks! Seems like ages since I last posted, just came back from the OCIP trip to Batam to help the kids at an orphanage over there. Painting of walls and building pillars. Whoa, when I was there I seriously felt like a "Ban-gala" worker here in S'pore. It was when we sat down for lunch on a wet day, all covered with filth and dirt from transporting the sand and stones to make cement from street level to the rooftop. There we were opening our packets of sub-standard food (wasn't atrocious but it could be better), famished from the hard labor, rampaging through our food like scavengers, well in clothes and with a spoon in hand, there I thought, this must be the feeling of how the blue collared felt at work. Almost makes me feel empathy for them, thank god I'm not doing this for a living. Well, my cousin had to work at an restaurant to inspire her to study hard and get to the top, that worked for her, now being successful and living in a mansion. Perhaps that was my moment to inspire me to study harder, a push on the back to strive on.

Some learn to care more, bond better or feel how lucky we are, I on the other hand have that in mind.

Though I must say Batam wasn't all that bad, I believe you must have thought i hated that crap hole, yes the conditions are terrible, but the stay wasn't all bad. Had fun here and there and some illegal moments, haha. You know what i mean. And if you're thinking i laid a hooker there, NO! There are others. Oh ya, think I got darker after the trip, ooo yea!

Oh yeah, just got my hands on an itouch!!! Whee!!! Haha, so gonna play with it, finally! Haha.
